so let us all pretend that we are reading this on monday. yup, o.k... i have had this song stuck in my head for a couple of weeks now. and obviously the video is how real life should be. i mean does not everyone feel like a pent up showgirl just waiting to soft shoe with coworkers and strangers all throughout the day? i do!!! so the title refers to the fact that the girls and i watched bjork videos all through dinner hence the burrito bit :) heck yeah! the cultivation of young minds! you must absolutely watch all of her videos. super fun!

Madonna Holiday - 1983 Unreleased Video
heck yeah!
this week's fortune
*among the lucky, you are the chosen one.*
7*17*20*24*34*44
whoa!!! who just got her period?
whew, that explains everything. that was weird and cathartic. seriously!
meanwhile, back in the lab...
the nightingale and i stayed up and worked together making these super rad flashy flash cards for the lil magpie. we all love them and the lil magpie already wants more.
also super stoked, we have begun knitting our gnomes. the lil magpie says hers is going to be a hula gnome, right on!!!
after re reading my bummer post i am compelled to relate that i do not feel any of that today or usually, but i do have my moments. whew. comes and goes. i see the many goods all day long. heck yeah!

holy heck more birthdays! or... in which i am an old lady
i cannot believe how fast my girls are growing up. teenagers. teenagers who drive. look out!!!
happy birthday nightingale and raven!!!
warning cliche ahead proceed with caution: it seems like yesterday they were my little girls wearing fairy wings, singing opera in the bathroom and giving me all the origami cups i could ever possibly need. i will try to hold fast each moment in my old lady memory. they are precious and fleeting. being a mom is the fucking greatest experience in the whole universe and i am a lucky girl, heck yeah!!!
we went to a parade this weekend. can you guess which one? lil magpie: "gay is when boys wanna kiss boys" um, yep. :)
sooo, i am a super lurker extraordinaire, and there are some amazing women out in the blogging universe. one that i often read was recently talking about "how do you deal with bummers?" oh boy, i am recently becoming a master of bummers. i am usually very cheerful and generally outwardly always cheerful. (that makes sense to me) anyway i decided after reading her entry and leaving a comment that i would do a little virtual dumping...(this makes me uncomfortable)
we recently moved. i have been planning this for years. i was so excited. this was going to be a fabulous new adventure for all of us. i hated where i was living(climate, urban sprawl, rudeness). i wanted to be near my family.=we moved= i am miserable. i gave up the job that i loved. (thought i needed a break) i moved away from my best friend (she is like my spouse and i miss her sooo much i think i will just die) and a group of solid, beautiful, fantastic women (who were my family) my kids away from friends and schools we loved(cannot afford the waldorf here so they are in public school and that is breaking my heart, especially for lil magpie) bars we could bike to for day drinking, bountiful thrift stores, flat streets, for as far as the eye could see, for my skateboarding pleasure! pretty much everything i knew and loved and learned to take for granted... i wanna go home!
i am now a worker bee(drone) who does not make a difference. when i pick up the lil magpie from school none of the other mothers will talk to me. no one looks like us out here. i have to walk to a path to skate. my bike has flat tires. our house is so shaded by ginourmous trees that it always looks overcast( i miss the bright sunshine) i have never been so depressed in my whole life!!! people are starving. there are civil rights attrocities the world over. people fear for their lives but, i am sooo sad and lonely onley onley.(the goose from charlotte's web is stuck in my head along with the song about the smorgasbord)
there you have it! it is a load of horse shit but that is where i am right now. the holy crow loves it oves it oves it here. i am sure i will grow to love and appreciate it. i am impatient. and did i mention so sad and lonely?
