lo and behold

i do not recall what we were watching...but the holy crow and i decided it was time to expand our vocabulary...and thus, lo and behold, i will be attempting to use this expression to the shock and delight of others! hee hee hee hee hee (this is often how i laugh. here is where i would put a super rad clip of muttly(?) the dog who belongs to dastardly somebody from those old yogi bear car racing cartoons. alas, i still need some linkin learnin!!!)

a few posts ago i gave you a glimpse of a thank you project for the mother goose. well, here it is... i have admired banners for some time and decided to try one out. awesome and quite a bit of fun. she loved it and hung it right away.

it says 'heck yeah' which is pretty much my general term for thank you, awesome, you bet yer boots(or sweet ass whichever you have is fine),etc...
here is another glimpse of something i promised...these two felted purses got listed to my etsy shop, 'cakehole', last week. i looove needle felting!!!
this here bunny's tail is even three dee!!! i also made my first sale, whoopee!!!
and now the panic sets in because yesterday all art and craft supplies were locked away in their suitcases or large cardboard boxes for the move on monday.i did leave out supplies for three more of these super rad felted purses. but i decided to mostly focus on a bandage that i have been crocheting on for two years(it has to be six feet long)...aiiigh! more on this later...
the delightfully charming and slightly wicked raven graced us with her presence this week. hooray!!! she is my eldest, fifteen and a half!!! we do not get to see her very often as she is a very busy super cool teenager and she lives with her mom and step-dad on the super far away other side of town. but it is mostly because she is busy leading the super cool life!!!(huh, you say??? she is my most amazing step-daughter from my previous relationship...i have been lucky to have her in my life since she was three years old! her mom and i became good friends, so we remain a nice little slightly odd family unit) this picture is lousy but...

my girl embroiders!!! i taught her when she was in the fourth grade...in eighth grade she loved this band sooo much she was compelled to bust out this awesome bit of craftiness on the teenage uniform hoodie. whoopee!!! all three of my girls have been taught many wonderful fiber arts and yet this is the first and only self inspired and self directed project that has ever been produced. they will bust out the occassional paper craft. but it would be hard not to when i have every available surface of our tiny home covered in paper when i do a project( i am visual and need to see my goodies) i hope to see more of these delightful little surprizes...

on wednesday the mothergoose and her daughter the hummingbird threw the nightingale a farewell party(mother not invited, humph!mostly because then lil magpie would be there and we do not allow no thunder stealin round here :) ) i gave the raven the camera with instructions "take loads of pictures" a six hour party=four pictures, humph!!! this is almost a group shot of the girls...
i had sooo much fun making the banner for the mother goose that i made one for the nightingale!!! it is not yet complete because i sent it to the party for all her friends to sign...even the boys signed it! i will probably laminate it before stringing(ribboning) it to hang in her new room!!! oh yeah she still maintains that she is not moving! ahhh, teen angst!!! got to do my part as wicked "muhtherrr!!!" ruining life...karma...my muhtherrr!!! just laughs and laughs

lo and behold...as i walked out of the bedroom this is the sight that greeted me...the lil magpie decided to use her media time...she is my super rad accessory princess, yesss!!!
